Who We Are?

The Amite County Career & Technical Complex is a secondary career and technical center serving the students enrolled in the Amite County School District. The Career & Technical Center is an extension of the Amite County High School and works cooperatively with the school to prepare students for their futures.

Courses offered include: Business Fundamentals, with an emphasis in Business Management; Collision Repair and Refinishing; Construction Technology; Culinary Arts; Health Sciences; and Robotics and Engineering.

Instructors have specialized education and experience in designated fields and utilize state of the art equipment and technology to provide advanced training and skills to students enrolled in their program. High School students who enroll in one or more of the programs offered at the Amite County Career & Technical Center will have a definite advantage when entering the world of work.

In school year 2016-2017, according to the U.S. Department of Education:

  • 95 percent of Mississippi CTE high school students graduated
  • 75 percent met performance goals for technical skills
  • 88 percent of Mississippi CTE postsecondary students earned a credential, certificate or degree
  • 87 percent went on to the workforce, the military or an apprenticeship
